This past Wednesday morning I went out from Herring Cove beach at my usual very early time…. no moon so my headlamp was on! I had told Lorraine the day before my goal was to see a whale

This morning I left the house later than I had wanted to… doesn’t happen often but it does happen… Thankfully, my plan had been to drive to the West End Breakwater and park right there and head out along the beach (it was low tide) and make my way over to set up in front of the Provincetown Inn…

Last Friday I went out to Race Point Beach extremely early to try and catch the crescent moon setting behind the Harbor Life Saving Station from the beach. When I arrived the sky was extremely dark and filled with clouds and no sign of the moon- off I went with my headlamp on.

Thank goodness I always carry two cameras - and on this morning - both tripods!! Two mornings ago I left very early in the hopes of capturing the moonset over the Harbor Lifesaving Station out at Race Point beach. Well… you never know how an outing is going to turn out!

Last night I checked the weather report about 100 times - what else is new? :-). The wind was going to be more than I wanted but everything else seemed to be lining up for great possibilities.

This morning I bundled up and with my headlamp on I headed out on a new path (to me) through the dunes to see what dune shacks and outhouses I could find!

This was the rainiest morning we had in Costa Rica. I was out for hours and saw an amazing amount of gorgeous birds - many of these birds I only saw this one morning in the rain… just incredible!

I knew someday I would not time my walk back from Race Point Lighthouse correctly…. well, today was that day! I left through Hatches Harbor very early this morning - all bundled up - the “feels like” temp was 17!!

We just returned home from an incredible trip to Costa Rica! We stayed in the Bajos del Toro region in the Cloud Forest. This area is about 80 minutes north of the San Jose airport.

Lorraine and I spent a week up in NH in June. This was one of my amazing mornings in my kayak.

While we were up in NH one morning this summer I got up and out into my kayak before sunrise. I quietly made my way diagonally across the lake to the opening of the back cove. Lorraine likes to say that I look like a submarine with a periscope when I am in my kayak!

So here’s to Snowy! Thank you Snowy(s) - it was a thrill this past winter. This invitation makes me feel a lot better about the little patch of frostbite that I still have on my nose from my Snowy mornings… :-)
